She has unbeatable knowledge about horticulture, appropriate plants and spacing for each of our beds that is based on science of the sun/shade environment, drainage conditions and co-location of different species. She is also very honest and points out risk associated with plants and shrubs you want to have but may not fare well in your yard. Wendy kept us appraised of what was happening with hardscape installment, plant orders and best times to order and plant. With my crazy travel schedule, Wendy worked with me to ensure in advance that we could meet when I was home. She is flexible and tries to accommodate my timeline. We hired Harbor Landscape Designs to transform a 5 acre waterfront property that was overgrown after some 10 years of neglect. After numerous face to face meetings and very Involved drawings and renderings, our project began in June of 2015. After almost 5 months of work with excavators and backbreaking labor, our property became a showpiece. Landscaping, concrete work, replanting foliage and trees, all aspects of our home now show the touch of a true landscape artist. We met with HLD’s Principal at least 40 times during our project. No detail was too small, and no plant or design change went unnoticed. In total, our project totalled some 125k. A significant project deserves a significant talent, and we now have a property that showcases our home. There will be future additions to our landscaping, and HLD will create them.

My husband and I wanted landscape lighting so I contacted Wendy at Harbor Landscape Design. We talked about the design and the budget. Wendy came up with a great design but the estimate was over the budget that I had planned. Wendy found another company with a product that was just as good if not better than the original company and the cost was within budget. The lighting was put in and looks great. I have contacted Wendy twice after the job was finished. Both times lights had been damaged or knocked over by deer and both times Wendy got back to me right away and the damage caused by the deer was fixed. I found Wendy very easy to work with and great with follow up to make sure that the job was done right and that my husband and I were happy with the results. We contracted with Wendy Morin’s Harbor Landscape Design in June 2022 to do a complete landscape design of our new home. The builder installed the bare minimum of shrubs, so they were all removed. We gave Wendy a short list of our favorite plants and trees, and a general idea of what we wanted to do. Wendy hit it out of the park picking an array of colors, leaf textures and a balance of deciduous and evergreen plants. Aspen Landscape did a great job on the construction side, adding a water feature, large rocks, and pathway lighting. Definitely a 10.0
Wendy was great to work with. She gave me options of what to plant and worked with me in making a few changes here and there. The end result was just what we wanted and we’re excited to see things fill out as time goes by.

We have hired Wendy many times over the years. Our most recent project was a complete redesign of the front yard. Wendy is professional, responsive and easy to work with. She saved us money by incorporating lace leaf maples and mature azaleas salvaged from our former yard. The design is curvaceous and very low maintenance as we had requested. When it came to putting together the landscape design for our retirement home I knew I did not have the knowledge to get it done correctly. Wendy Morin designed a new, beautiful but amazingly functional and easy-care space for my 18 year-old tired and messy backyard which had been neglected for too many years. Wendy did a wonderful job at my home. She was always smiling and professional and was excellent at keeping in contact throughout the whole process.
